The Client

Bad Monday is a tattoo-inspired streetwear brand with diversity, inclusivity, and eye-catching graphics at their heart. What began as a small business selling printed t-shirts has become a unique brand selling high-quality, one-of-a-kind fashion with aspirations of making a real difference in the scenes of art and music.

Mark, the CEO of Bad Monday, initially came to us for some ad-hoc development work, but over time, we started to feel like part of the team. Having built up that trust, he decided to task us with their branding foundations, marketing strategy, and key website improvements to optimise conversion rates, user journeys, and overall push Bad Monday forward.

The Solutions

Brand Discovery

The first step in taking Bad Monday to the next level was laying the foundations for a brand that, unapologetically, knew what it was and who it was for. This meant collaborating on a brand purpose, vision, audience, opportunities, and finding their niche in the competitive market of fashion.

Our founder, Chris, also provides ongoing business strategy support and helped to create Bad Monday’s bespoke ecommerce growth plan. This dug into the details of success in ecommerce, working to create realistic goals and targets that show the brand succeeding, one sale at a time. Chris’ 16 years of hands-on experience is crucial in taking brands one step further.

Goals

Website Updates

After getting under the skin of Bad Monday’s ecommerce website, there were three key updates we knew would improve the user experience and lead to increased sales:

Product filter – We installed an advanced filter tool, allowing customers to filter down to specified products and find what they wanted to buy with ease. This update also put the power in Mark’s hands, as he was finally able to update filters without relying on external support.

Updated cart – With a goal of increasing order value, we also improved the customer experience on the shop’s cart page. Discount code success was displayed at the earliest stage to avoid any disappointment and exclusive offers were introduced, showing offers that were only available at cart-level, calculated by current cart value. Once again, Mark has complete control over this area, able to instantly switch products around based on availability and estimated spend.

Capsule landing page with sign ups for early release – Bad Monday is all about finding the hidden stories behind the art and giving those talented artists a platform to show what they can do. With that in mind, we helped bring the brand’s vision to life with a capsule landing page, shining the spotlight on one artist’s story and designs, while also encouraging sign ups for early release notifications to grow our audience for future email marketing.

  • Retail calendar and campaign management
  • CRM strategy, automations, and campaign planning
  • Paid social strategy and across Facebook and Pinterest
  • Google advertising
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to always be improving the brand

As a social-first brand, we also have our eyes on the future of social media, making sure Bad Monday is sharing in the right places. Wherever its community of passionate, free individuals is spending their time, that’s where we want to be.

When you’re on the forefront of ecommerce success, there’s never a bad monday.
