After experiencing success through online marketplaces Urban Gifts needed a direct, consumer website of their own. They also needed an accompanying ecommerce strategy, to expand their online presence, and approached Digital Cake for the job.

The Plan of Action
The driving force of this long term strategy would be organic social media content and SEO, however we also recommended integrating Google Shopping and paid social advertising to increase brand awareness and improve short-term conversion rates.
After launching the website from a standing start in May 2018, we have provided consultancy and produced a “Gross Demand” financial model to hit their 3 year revenue target. This document included guidance on how daily traffic levels, conversion rate and AOVs need to be developed over this period, as well as insights into competitor activity and market benchmarks.
Since working with Digital Cake on this project, Urban Gifts have engaged with us further to manage their social and paid search channels from August 2018.
In the 3 months since starting this project, Urban Gifts have seen sales and clicks increase on the site by nearly 200% thanks to our paid search campaign, as well as a 54% increase in organic traffic October vs September and a 35% increase in indexed keywords thanks to our SEO campaign.
Other notable results include a 10% increase in average order value, a 27.8% increase in revenue per customer, a 15.5% increase in conversion rate and a 48.2% increase in overall ROI.
